News 2 - The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends that the Verkhovna Rada should adopt as a basis the bill to amend article 221 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements to establish cognizable cases against parents of minors or against persons that substitute them for intoxicating juveniles - Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends that the Verkhovna Rada should adopt as a basis the bill to amend article 221 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements to establish cognizable cases against parents of minors or against persons that substitute them for intoxicating juveniles

The bill (Reg.No.10326) submitted by the people?s deputy Shevchuk, suggests authorizing courts to consider cases on administrative infringements stipulated by article 180 "Intoxicating juveniles" of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements if intoxication of juveniles was caused by parents of minors or persons substituting them.

The Committee members upheld the bill the adoption of which, according to them, will allow for eliminating gaps in legislation and ensuring protection of children against unauthorized influence of adults.
